The online payment platform Paytm has asked its employees to surrender their Privilege Leaves (PL) collected leaves till 35 days and all other leaves that they have currently accumulated (Casual Leaves) to run smoother operations. The company further cleared this as a temporary measure and the employees can gain back their PL and CL going forward.

Paytm believes to uplift its workforce to minimize the effect of a sudden economic downturn due to the COVID-19 crisis, and it might prove to be a proactive measure to help the company revive its cost and keep it under control amidst the pandemic. The digital payment firm also believes that the move will help the company to make better progress as the digital payment is expected to rise amidst the lockdown.
