News: WHO declares airborne precautions for the medical staffs as coronavirus shows signs to survive in the air

After a new study that turned up the chapter of Coronavirus surviving in the air, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared that all the medical staff must consider mandatory airborne precautions while they are on duty at the hospital and treating COVID-19 affected patients.

The new study suggests that various factors can play a major role in keeping the virus active in the air, such as heat, humidity, etc. In a virtual conference that took place earlier this week, the head of WHO, Dr. Maria Van Kerkhove, said, "When you do an aerosol-generating procedure like in a medical care facility, you have the possibility to what we call aerosolize these particles, which means they can stay in the air a little bit longer."
